Ice Factor Continues into the Second Successful Year [23/11/2007]

Icefactor is celebrating two successful years of teaching the great game of ice hockey to high school students who are at risk of disengaging from school. The program has expanded to 10 High Schools approximately 150 students.

The teaching of game skills, team building, leadership skills and living skills all assist schools in their efforts to keep students within the school environment and continue education. The Ice Factor is now a SACE subject where students can gain units towards Year 12.

Winning the Challenge Cup at the end of each term is something the teams all work hard towards. There is also the Spirit Cup for the best team attitude at the day long tournament. This is supported by very generous sponsors with a special guest speaker at the Open Ceremony.

The Challenge Cup is being played between the ten High Schools in Ice Factor.
