Elana representing Australia
Elana from Thebarton Thunder has had a memorable summer school holidays. She has represented Adelaide Rush in the women’s national league but also got to represent Australia in the ice hockey world championships in Jaca, Spain. Elana had a great tournament and was even chosen as the player of the game in one game.
Ngutu College joins Ice Factor
The whole Ice Factor Program is delighted to bring Ngutu College to Ice Factor!!! And we’ve got a familiar face behind it with Margie Tilbrook who used to run the program at LeFevre High running the team as the team manager.
ICE FACTOR END OF YEAR TOURNAMENTS
We celebrated the finish of the Ice Factor year with some quality hockey played in the three divisions. Congratulations to Springbank Sabres who took the title for the summer break!!!!!

At Ice Factor we come across some remarkable young men and women who are navigating their way through life. Each young person is unique and we love to hear and help each and every one of them. Some become tradies, others fall in love with hockey, some become social workers and teachers.
We are absolutely thrilled that we have had 3 Ice Factor students drafted to the AFL: Izak Rankine (Henley Beach Dingoes), Tyson Stengle (LeFevre Lightning Karndo) and Phoenix Spicer (Hamilton Hornets). Tyson and Izak have already played in the AFL while Phoenix is still waiting and working for his opportunity. But what impressed us most about these young men in Ice Factor was not their natural talent (and there was plenty) but their humility and their willingness to be a great team mate. Never would these players make things about themselves, never were they too good for someone else. They were always looking out for team mates and supporting whoever needed that support. We are so proud to see these guys go and achieve their life long dream and can't wait to see more of them!! |
